This is a powerful deck of oracle cards. The art work by Jenna DellGrottaglia is vibrantly stunning. The descriptions are detailed, thoughtful, and constructive. With this deck reversed cards are called "The Medicine." This is the authors effort to help you stop fearing a reversed card and to see it is a helper to set your life back on a more healthy path. Upright cards are called "The Invitation." The only down portion for me is that the book of descriptions is not able to fit inside the box of cards and instead is separate. That being said, there are over 125 pages of information, which would be too bulky and fragile if it had been scaled down to the same size as the oracle cards.

These cards are beyond amazing. The first thing that struck is the amazing box they come in. I felt like I was unwrapping a present and what a gift it was as the box opens to reveal a guidebook that is unlike any I've sewn in a deck. It actually has a harder stock for the outer covering which ensures it will hold up well with use. Also, the cards are tucked away in a separate small box like another small gift. When you open the cards, they are a beautiful matte finish on both sides. They feel so smooth. Jenna DellaGrottaglia did another amazing job with the artwork and Colette, Alberto and Marcela have done an amazing job of providing messages that resonate so deeply and tap into the earth wisdom so many of us have been longing to encounter. I really enjoy that like so many of Colette's decks these cards can be read upright or reversed, making it a deck of 128 messages rather than just 64. So excited to finally get these after having worked with them online.

The images on these cards are amazingly gorgeous. The cards come in a box with a beautiful ribbon to help you remove the cards from the box with respect. They booklet that accompanies the cards is a generous size and easy to read and use. The cards pull me right in; I can lean in to hear the story they are telling me. The first card I pulled, Witness, and I felt a sense of knowing and relief just looking at it. I have and use several card decks. A lot of them are on the shelves, under or behind things. I believe the artwork in this deck is the most beautiful I've ever seen. The cards are a mat finish and a little thicker than a normal card which gives a different feel while shuffling and some getting used to. Very much like the Akashic Tarot Deck. Jenna DellGrottaglia is an amazing artist and I love the artwork she did for Colette's Good Tarot, Wisdom of the Oracle and The Enchanted Map decks. Her artwork is what has drawn me to all of these decks. I have not worked with this deck long enough to give an experienced opinion regarding the messages but from looking through the book and a few test readings for myself I can see them becoming an important deck. I thought the deck was quite expensive but upon receiving I could see why the extra cost. The packaging is very well done and having the ribbon to remove the deck from the box has inspired me to put ribbons in all my boxes.

I am in love with this new deck!! The artwork and images are simply gorgeous and the messages for each card are deep, poignant, and well thought out. I like how it uses the words “Invitation” or “Medicine” to go deeper into the meaning of each card depending on its upright or reversed position, instead of it feeling like a negative when the card is upside down. After smudging with sage and cleansing the cards, I did the Mystic Shaman meditation provided by Colette Baron Reid (if you a subscribe to her email list, you can get it free after purchasing this deck) and it was really uplifting and awakened a deeper connection with the cards, so powerful!! I have only had the deck for a few weeks, but it is my new favorite deck and I cherish it!! I highly recommend it and think it’s amazing!! I also really love that all of Colette’s decks are infused with love and light and honor for the highest good of all. Oh, yes, and the box this deck comes in is exquisite, too!! I truly love everything about this oracle card deck... they are absolutley magical and beautiful!!! :)

In general I really like this deck. Unfortunately I’m OCD, and this just took the flow of the deck out of me: THE Coyote, THE Crow, THE Owl... but: Eagle, Jaguar. THE Lower World... but: Middle World, Upper World. The use of THE for most of the cards and absence of THE for some of them is driving me nuts and takes flow and magic away. Not sure how to make peace with it. It would have sounded a million times better if it would have just been: Ancient Ones, Blade, Drum, Seer, etc. instead of all of them with THE. I see no point in the article whatsoever. Hopefully this deck might be edited one day without the articles.

This gorgeous, mystical, magical oracle deck of sacred ancient symbols is imbued with wisdom and beauty. From the moment I opened the beautiful packaging and saw and touched the incredibly awe-inspiring cards, and read the accompanying booklet on how to use the deck, I was ready. I immediately felt that these cards were meant for me. I love connecting to nature and to the ancient wisdom which is so alive in this deck. My readings thus far for myself and a friend were so on point. I feel confidence in my ability to grow in wisdom with this oracle deck. The guidance offered in this deck, the love and wisdom which went into its creation, and the absolute quality will withstand the ages. I only have found one other deck which can compare in any way for me, and it is now almost 35 years old and still trustworthy. The Mystical Shaman Cards are such a deck for me; one which will withstand the ages, the distractions, and one which will ultimately guide me to the life I want to live. Thank you, Colette, Alberto and Marcela for creating this marvelous oracle. Thank you also to Jena, whose stunning artwork brings the deck to life and awe to the soul.

My husband and I used to go to the Melting Pot every month. Then we had kids and now it's only something we get to do on rare occasions. When we would go, we'd always get the same thing, one of them being Spinach Artichoke cheese fondue.I ordered this book and a fondue pot for Christmas, so we could do our own Melting Pot dinners more often, or on holidays like New Years Eve. As soon as I got the book I opened it to find our favorite fondue. Imagine my surprise and shock when I couldn't find the Spinach Artichoke recipe. Surely I must have missed it. I call our Melting Pot and ask them if I simply missed it, or if they really did not print it. I did not miss it. It is not included in this book. What the heck?I get it, why did I buy a book for 1 recipe? Because I wanted to make the recipe like it is made in the store, not a copycat version. I'm sure over the years we'll try some of the many other cheese recipes, but the one reason why I bought this book, is not in there. If you are a Melting Pot lover and want this for their Spinach Artichoke fondue, do not buy it. It's not in there. If I ever find the time, I will add a complete list of what's included, but it's quite comprehensive (which makes this suck even more that their staple is not included).

I love The Melting Pot. My husband takes me there every year for our anniversary. I got my husband and I an electric fondue pot for christmas and bought this cookbook to get some recipes. So for they have all been great! even the dipping sauces that The Melting Pot serves are in here. I absolutely love melting pot, with that said this book was perfect! This book has recipes that arent even on the menu. Tons of great delicious recipe's including cheese fondue, salads and dressing, marinades, cooking styles, sauces, chocolate fondues, even the history behind fondue and the melting pot restaurants, and the best part is the coupons which will save you more than the books worth. I have made the Wisconsin trio so far and i honestly felt like i was eating at the melting pot! The recipes are really accurate.Pros:Hardcover book w/ built in ribbon bookmarkTons of delicious recipesSide notes and history behind fondueGreat detailThe coupons!!Cons:Some of the ingredients are a little hard to find at your local grocery store.This is a must have for fondue lovers or melting pot fans. The nearest Melting Pot restaurants are miles from where we live, and I'd not heard of the chain until I read the reviews of this book when I was looking to buy a fondue pot. The recipes are very good, the book is well designed, and the pages lay flat when the book is opened; that is a big plus in a cookbook. That there are sidebars throughout that raise an awareness of St. Jude's Hospital is both remarkable and a great reminder to the reader that they could help to support a hospital whose sole mission is to heal children in real need. Bravo Melting Pot!

I am a fan of fondue and seriously look forward to using this book a lot. I recently got this and read through it and marked recipes. The background information in this is great! I also like the variety. I was worried that my favorites would be left out, but they are all here.

I was hoping for more tips and fondue recipes, there are a lot of salad recipes that I didn't need or want. I returned this book to Amazon.

I was under the impression this would be full of fondue recipes. But no .... it contains mostly recipes from the restaurant not related to fondue! My hubby and I hat a New Years dinner there with friends and the prices were exorbitant but I must say all was very tasty. I bought one each for my daughter and son along with Cuisinart fondue pots. It was quite disappointing.

This melting pot collection is just like the restaurant chain. It is so much fun to use I'm so glad we got it . It has so many different things to try. We have had a lot of time to try different ways of fonduing. You will love . By yourself or with friends cant go wrong with this book. Its easy and fast and everything you use is affordable. Well done.

Plenty of good recipes for fondue, sauces, marinades and everything melting pot in here. Is missing a few things you might want to know but has all of the main things and plenty of other more obscure recipes as well. A great starting point if you are new to making fondue like I was. All recipes are pretty easy to tweak to your liking as well.

A nice book that is somewhat hard to read; I think it's the translation from Dutch. But he is quite accurate in his his history; Hitler didn't want war, Poland started W W2, Communism was the enemy, and all of Europe was scared of Communism, why millions of non-Germans Joined the SS; the fight against Communism. This book is awkward to read at times, but is truthful for European feelings about the Communist menace Europe faced. 100 million people died because of Karl Marx.Evil Churchill later said "we slaughtered the wrong pig."

First I'll tell you what this book is not. Its not a graphic account of all the battle action of troop movements or objectives captured seen on the Eastern Front by the author. It is a highly personal, sometimes emotional and biased account of the few joys and the many horrors of sights and experiences during and after battle to the author, his comrades and civilians that were caught up in the war. But its also more than the anecdotal experience for it appears the author after surviving the war, studied the war for decades, gaining an understanding far greater than his own personal experience and has included brief summaries and background information that is sometimes overlooked by other historians. The author also quotes from Charles Sydnor, David Irving, Paul Carell, Douglas MacArthur and other European authors I'm not familiar with to support some of his comments.One of the most intriguing comments dealt with the opening week of Operation Barbarossa when it was discovered the great number of Russian troops, planes, tanks and supply warehouses so close to the border that both German soldier and officer felt sure Russia was preparing their own invasion of Europe. He confirms his thoughts by quoting the Russian defector, Viktor Suvorov.The author begins his story by telling a little about himself, his family and his family's heritage. He moves on to discuss the relationship of Holland and Germany after WWI, the despair of Germany experienced at the hands of the Allies, the rise of Hitler and his successful attempt to pull Germany up from the depths of economic depression which also benefited Holland. He explains how many Dutch were proud of Hitler to succeed against the determined efforts of France and England to keep Germany destitute. Hitler's stance against Communism was also appreciated and the main reason Verton and so many other non Germans volunteered.After volunteering, he was handed over to the Wafen SS and drilled to be physically and mentally tough. When the Wehrmacht couldn't accomplish something, they'd send the SS to complete the job type of attitude.As mentioned above the author discusses the personal ramifications and doesn't describe specific battle engagements in depth from a military perspective for most of his war experience like you'd read from Glantz, Nash, Nipe etc. That changes, to a small extent, in the last months of the war with the siege of Breslau. Mr Verton spends half of the book on the determined resistance of the German garrison holding off a far superior Russian force from daily attacks, artillery barrages and strafings from their air force. He clearly writes with pride with their resistance and the total despair with their surrender in early May. He continues to explain the Russian revenge on the people and soldiers of Breslau and how helpless they were. He explains how he exchanges his SS uniform for an Army NCO uniform and makes his escape to the west where he finds his father and older brother were killed. He concludes his life with marriage, finding a job and keeping in touch with his surviving comrades.This is a very personal account, delivering hundreds of experiences and tribulations and the author doesn't hold back any punches on the brutalities the Russian Army inflicted on its own people, German soldiers and European civilians. I can think of only a few instances where praise was delivered on the Russians. The T34 tanks, Kayyuska rockets and partisans were mentioned as being the dread of the German infantry. In the last days of the war while the author was recovering from a gun wound a Russian soldier could have killed him but didn't.Besides the personal, other topics were discussed. The valor of General Niehoff at Breslau, the betrayal of Paulus and Seydlitz after Stalingrad, the vast amount of aid the US gave Russia, the pride in Hitler for trying to defend Europe from Communism are just a few examples.There are a couple maps, a few photos of the author and fellow soldiers and a number of sketches to study. A Bibliography ends the story.Depending on your interests, this is the type of book you'll either really like or hate. The author seemed very straight forward about his views and though I don't agree with everything said, it was still an interesting read.

An interesting book, although not so much because of its accounts of battle on the Eastern Front (there are relatively few) but for providing the perspective of a non-German serving in the SS and what it was like in the smoking ruins of Europe after WWII was over.I guess the author could be described as a "Nazi sympathizer" rather than a Nazi, and generally defends many of Hitler's decisions and complains about many actions of the allies. I've not read anything from authors with this perspective, so found it generally interesting, if unconvincing.Not much combat action here--just a bit on the Eastern Front (in 1942?) and then in Breslau in 1945, including during its siege. I didn't know anything about this siege before, so again found it interesting.Finally, a good part of the book describes the author's adventures after the war in Poland, East Germany, and then West Germany. Because of his service with the SS, the author feared prison or worse if he went home, so he forged various paperwork to stay in Poland, were he became kind of a wheeler-dealer in the black market. Eventually he figured out that it would be dangerous for him to stay in Poland so moved to East Germany, and then to West Germany, all the while forging/buying identity documents and keeping a fairly low profile. While this part of the book sounds rather boring, actually these adventures are quite interesting.Overall a good read, but don't buy the book expecting lots of East Front combat, this is not the book you're looking for...

I found this an interesting account, especially the Post-War era. I did find it rather odd that the author left a gap in his story from Spring 1942 until late 1944. There is by the appearance by the braid on his collar, and earlier the two shoulder board loops of an Offizieranwaerter (officer candidate) which leans toward the fact he was in training, and not sent to the Kursk salient in mid 1943. He did not spent much time in combat until 1945, judging by only being awarded the Black Wound Badge, Infantry Assault Badge, EK II, and the Frozen Meat Order. I did find the book worth reading. His paternal side of the family was French, so he was not entirely Dutch as the title may suggest.

I always wanted to know why and also how many of the Dutch participated into the Waffen-SS. This book is an real eye opener but did not answer why so many supported Hitler.

The simple fact that the Netherlands provided more volunteers to the Waffen SS and Wehrmacht than any other country besides Germany is worthy of repeating. This narrative is about a young Dutch man, and his older brother, who succumbed to the propaganda of the NSB and the Waffen SS. Throughout the book Hendrick Verton repeats the deeply ingrained anti-Bolshevik propaganda that delivered him to the front as combatant against the USSR. It is insightful and interesting to see the experience through the eyes of a young man who firmly believes he is doing the right thing. There is precious little realization about the oppression that the civilians in the Netherlands were suffering at the hands of his Nazi idols, nor of the fact that thousands of foreign volunteers, Dutchmen especially, lost their lives fighting for the Greater Reich, with little or nothing to show for it.

About the Author

Nancy Schwalbe Zydler The tidal creek twisting through a maze of marshland behind her home in Savannah, Georgia introduced Nancy to the enjoyment of exploring the currents and shifting sands in a coastal environment. The family’s sloop and weekly Lightning and Penguin class sailing at the Savannah Yacht Club led to sailing adventures in inshore as well as offshore waters. Later, at the University of Georgia, she studied fine arts. Her paintings of tropical plant life have been exhibited at the Cheekwood Botanical Gardens and Art Museum in Tennessee, at the Hilton Head Museum of Art in South Carolina, and at galleries in South Carolina and South Florida. In 1975, Nancy married and sailed away with Tom Zydler. Since that time, they have voyaged from the Great Lakes to Brazil, from Faeroe Islands to the Galapagos, and are still pursuing a life at sea. She has written articles about sailing for Cruising World, Sailing, Sail, Yachting Monthly, and Southern Boating. She holds a US Coast Guard 100 Ton Captains License. Tom Zydler started racing dinghies at the age of 12 in his native Poland. He gradually moved up to ocean racing in the Baltic Sea, eventually becoming the youngest Polish holder of a yacht masters license for all oceans. He graduated from the Merchant Marine College and pursued a professional career at sea until receiving the first mate’s position. Next, he moved ashore to study English Literature at the University of Lodz. After getting his M.A. with a thesis on Joseph Conrad, he stayed to teach English at the University while continuing to sail during the long vacations that academic life permitted. He led sailing expeditions as far as Iceland, Jan Mayen, and East Greenland. In 1972, he captained a 45 foot yawl from Poland to Cape Horn rounding it from the Atlantic to the Pacific. Next he served as a deck officer on German ships and in 1974, immigrated to the United States where he skippered large private and charter yachts after obtaining a US Coast Guard 500 Ton Masters License for all oceans. Tom writes for yachting magazines and has been published in Cruising World, Yachting, Sailing, Sail, Southern Boating, Wooden Boat, and Professional Boatbuilder in the US, Classic Boat, Yachting World, and Yachting Monthly in the UK, and in Le Chasse Mareé in France. He markets his marine photography through Stock Newport in Portland, Maine.

Will be my guide when I sail off to Panama in the not too distant future. The book came as expected, just as advertised. Thank you.

We just finished (July 2006) cruising the Pacific side of Panama and through the canal and found the Zydler guide to not be as useful as the newer Bauhaus guide. The major difference is in the charts & chartlets - the Bauhaus guide is all color charts that look like real charts - the Zydler guide is all B&W hand drawn sketches that are extremely hard to read - virtually useless. The Zydler guide has more words but less useful information as it's quite a bit older and some information is way out of date - eg. the Western Panama Islands like Coiba.

Was as advertised, great service....

The zydler guide was ok in its time. But the new Panama Cruising Guide by Eric Bauhaus is very, very much better than the Zydler. ALL PAGES IN COLOR, beautyful photos and nearly 200 precise charts. Dont dream of cruising panama without it.

If you were to have told me a week ago there could be a G-rated, family friendly version of "The Purge: Election Year" I would have laughed in your face, but someone Foner pulls it off.Amidst all the jockeying for bragging rights (and awesome prizes) for winning games and the election of Carnival King/Queen, there is a revolution brewing among a group that more than a little resembles North Korea – except, once again, the stakes are lowered and everything is played for laughs. And, awesome time, we see a truly nonviolent and creative answer to how-to-deal-with-dictatorships.A lot of other events are packed in here – all of which are hilarious, and I continue to highly recommend this series.

This is the 5th book in the series I think, maybe the 6th. I don't remember for sure, but I do love these characters.The first book is free and I have made sure to send it to everyone I know. The universe is a ton of fun and the different races all make it even more interesting.Personally get weird-ed out a little by the GEM, so I was glad they were a main part of this book.If you haven't read any of the Union station books yet you are really missing out.This one is about a party on Union station that lasts a few weeks. There are games of chance and skill, art and food. The real fun comes into play when they start judging the competitions. I mean this is union station after all, so nothing is going to go like you think it would. Without giving anything away lets just say some mischievous AI like always are meddling in the affairs of their patrons.

What is there to say five books in? This is my favorite new (to me) series of 2017. It continues to grow and get better after finding its stride somewhere along the way. It has me chuckling and rooting for the characters. It still surprises me with its odd twists. It's just a fun little book and series you can recommend to literally anyone, the young, medium, and old alike.If you didn't like the structure of Spy Night, this one returns to the structure of the third book, but really, nothing is lost anyway.So yeah, I still recommend this series, get to it.

Another enjoyable romp through Union Station. The main focus of this book was on the Gem, a humanoid race that consisted of a single female individual cloned billions of time. Well they may be clones but many want a different life and so the Free Gem movement was started and Ambassador Kelly wanted to help them.And, as the title would suggest, it was Carnival time on Union Station. This happened every 50 years but of course it was the first time for Kelly. A major feature of the Carnival was its games, and as its ambassador Kelly was put in charge of fielding the human competitors.Another fun aspect of the book was the visit to two human worlds which were outside the protection of the Stryx.And as usual there were some interesting reveals at the end of the book.

Alright this wont win the nobel in literature (though frankly it reads better than some that have) but this is a fun read, enjoyable perhaps, makes fun of big government a bit (liberal and conservative) (ok granted that is not hard to do and frankly most folks who run a baby sitting service probably do a better job than the government). While this is the fifth in the series, if you read the first couple you can pick up the story here without any difficulty (though frankly I have read them in order and I love all of them). I highly recommend this book and I think that if you enjoyed the previous ones in this series you will enjoy this novel a lot.

I have found this series to be humorous and entertaining -something hard to do in a genuine science fiction story. The plot in this story, as all the others, involves the devious and somewhat omniscient Stryx manipulating humans and events to the benefit of all. No wars, no shooting, no deaths - just a plain story with a bit of satire thrown in for the heck of it. Looking forward to the next iteration.Also the price is right. What can you loose?

Clearly I am a fan of this series. I am delighted to see how the human and alien characters display our human foibles in the context of millions of year old galactic setting. All the books in this series are a "clean" read, something I would recommend to my grandchildren, but also noting there is violence, promiscuity, drugs in the galaxy, but the best way to deal with these realities is through open communication and consideration of those different from oneself. This extends to the personal level where the centrality of family in obviously important to the characters.

A continuation of Earth Station 1-4. These are not novels that will win a Nebula but still great reads. Mr. Foner (author) has a fertile imagination and writes with a fluidity that makes it hard to put down. I would not recommend starting at #5 but it is still enjoyable if you choose to do so. It makes a lot more sense to start with the first in the series.Each book in the series build on the previous books.You are introduced to alien characters, cultures, and settings that keeps you interested throughout. If you need a break from deep SciFi and want to relax with a good book - pick this series up. You will be pleasantly surprised.

I have read this book every few years. The latest time I read it was probably the longest gap in time since I first read the book -- and when I finally got around to rereading it, I fell in love again. I had forgotten about so much. I knew what happened, story-wise, but it was so much fun to rediscover the depth of character and themes and the powerful climax and brilliant character moments.This is a book I would highly recommend to anyone, at any stage of spiritual development. It tackles tough questions about belief in something more than the material, the problem of pain in our world, the dichotomy of the human heart needing both logic and emotion...I could go on and on.But the main character drives the themes! She is a flawed character -- highly flawed -- but because her flaws are realistic and relatable, she is also a sympathetic character and the things that happen around her give her narration credibility, even as she revels herself to be an untrustworthy narrator.In many ways, the novel is a fictional exploration of the deep ideas that Lewis touches on in many of his non-fiction works (Mere Christianity, The Problem with Pain, and especially The Four Loves). But it is much, much more than that. I consider this to be C.S. Lewis' best novel and, more than being my favorite novel by Lewis, the best novel I have ever read.

One mistake many make with this book is to stop part-way through. I am a fan of C. S. Lewis, and about half way into this book, I seriously asked myself why Lewis wrote it. It is, as the author proclaims, a retelling of the myth and Cupid and Psyche, but the retelling is genuinely imaginative and raises questions about love, jealousy, motives, and other important issues in a thoughtful, provocative story, but this is not apparent immediately. The story is divided into two parts, and it is only in the second part that the full power of the narrative is felt. Any fan of Lewis needs to read this book.

What other answer would suffice?

I have always loved this book! I bought this for a friend to read. It's heart wrenching, funny, smart, and let me just say that C.S. Lewis can tell a story that takes you away! If you are looking for an adventure with meaning and soul, please get this book. Or just read this book - anyone! I, for one, love it so much.

I have read most of C.S. Lewis' writings, and had been a fan of his non-fiction and could take or leave his fiction. However, a friend of mine had recommended "Till We Have Faces," and so I took it up. By the end I was astounded. The metaphors that C.S. Lewis uses to discuss what each and every one of us do with "masks" is insightful. It left me with much to reflect on for quite a while. I plan on reading it again this year some time.

Till We Have Faces is classic C. S. Lewis. Lewis’s revision of the Myth of Cupid and Psyche is extremely well written in the engaging style that characterizes his other fiction. It’s a great story, one that also communicates in a loving and sensitive way the futility and illogic of those views that cast doubt on God’s justice or mercy. Like his friends Tolkien and Williams, Lewis loved the power of myth, and this particular myth has an autobiographical point to make about getting one’s thinking straight. Like some of his other works, this story plot is cut short before what we might wish to be a satisfying conclusion. This too fits into one of Lewis’s life themes: every person has a deep unquenchable longing for that perfect place or circumstance where life will be fulfilled and joy complete. “We have all had our dream of some other land, some other world, some other way of giving the prizes which would bring us in as the conquerors…” In this life, just like the story, we can never quite get there. Nor can we even quite imagine what that perfect experience will be like. In the meantime, none of us can really relate to God, meet him in person, or even understand him “till we have faces.” Yet we can have faces, and we can meet Him face to face, to the regret of those around us, for there is a love that devours the one who is loved. “For mortals will become more and more jealous. And mother and wife and child and friend will all be in league to keep a soul from being united with the Divine Nature.” Was Lewis thinking of this: “And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit” (2 Corinthians 3:18)? Read the book to find what this means.

This book profoundly affected my life as a new Christian 40 years ago; and, on reading it again, it worked wonders today. It is the best depiction of the magnitude of God's gracious, loving mercy that I've ever read: It pulls us into the perspective of the 1st-person narrator and inevitably causes us to identify with her ugliness, which is deeper than the physical. We recognize ourselves in her depravity, yet we sympathize. In the end, we see how "the gods" have loved and shaped who she would become, and we learn invaluable lessons about how our God shapes our character and holds our ultimate destiny in his loving hands.

One of my favorite books ever written. C.S. Lewis himself believed that this was his best work of fiction--better than The Chronicles of Narnia. It also happened to be the last work of fiction he ever wrote. The idea behind the book was conceived while he was still a strong atheist, but he finished it and changed it after he had become a Christian, making the book a very interesting peek into his perspective on his own conversion story. Fun, personal, spiritual, this is a book that more lovers of C.S. Lewis's writings must read.
